Meet the Pastor
John Forsythe
Senior Pastor
John is our Senior Pastor at The Way Church. He and his wife, Brinlea, have been in ministry from the very beginning of their relationship, all the way back in 2010. Over the past decade, John has pastored, counseled, and evangelized in the East Tennessee area promoting the Gospel of Jesus Christ. John is a certified temperament counselor and a member of the National Christian Counselors Association.
He was licensed in 2011 and received his ordination in 2017.
While Pastor John's biggest passion is serving Jesus, he and Brinlea are kept very busy with two amazing children; Declan and Jovi. The family loves the great outdoors, paddle boarding,
and a good movie every now and then.
The Way Worship Team
Ariel, Nick, and Cary (pictured from left to right) are integral members of our worship team at "The Way."
Each member brings their unique talents, skills, and personality to contribute to the overall atmosphere of worship. They specialize from contemporary styles to the ole red back hymnal we all grew up with.
Ariel, Nick, and Cary have spent the past few years honing in worship at the Way Church. Each service is unique and Spirit led as we foster an atmosphere of praise for our King, Jesus. We encourage you if you are interested in joining our worship team to reach out to Cary. He will gladly help where you feel the Lord is leading you in worship ministry.
Social Media/Community Outreach
Haley and Sara play pivotal roles in spearheading the church's social media presence, skillfully navigating the digital landscape to connect with the congregation and beyond. Their creativity shines as they leverage various social media platforms to broadcast church events, share impactful stories, and encourage participation in both virtual and physical gatherings. Haley and Sara contribute to the church's outreach efforts, extending the message of faith, love, and community to a wider audience. Their commitment to maintaining an inclusive and welcoming online environment reflects their dedication to enhancing the church's outreach in the digital age.Haley is also deeply involved in our community outreach. She plans all of our downtown outings and school visitation's.
Audio/Visual maestro's
James and Michael bring their technical expertise to The Way Church, where they serve as the sound and audio team, ensuring that every worship service and event resonates with clarity and excellence. James and Michael's commitment to delivering a high-quality auditory experience enhances the overall worship atmosphere, allowing the congregation to engage fully in the spiritual journey during gatherings at The Way Church.
Greeting team
Lance and Mindee play pivotal roles in fostering a warm and welcoming environment at The Way Church, taking charge of the parking lot and greeting responsibilities every Sunday. With friendly smiles and attentive gestures, they ensure a positive first impression for congregants as they arrive. Lance efficiently manages the parking logistics, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic, while Mindee extends a heartfelt welcome to individuals, setting the tone for a sense of community and inclusion within the church. Together, their dedication to creating a friendly and organized entry experience contributes to the overall atmosphere of hospitality at The Way Church.
Heartfelt thank you to our volunteers
Every week multiple hours are accrued working for the Kingdom. You ALL make the effort seem effortless. Thank you for your continued dedication to Jesus, His Church, and His people. Your crowns in heaven will have the volunteer badge prominently displayed. The Bible tells us the harvest is ready, the laborers are few. Thankfully we have never had a shortage of laborers amongst us. If you are interested in volunteering with The Way Church of Knoxville.
